Hello everyone! I'll be taking over most of the modly duties for the auction for now, as [personal profile] keenquing is at the moment unable to do so. Wish me luck.

Here's a list for the different auction posts:
Writing (fanfic, original fic)
Audio (podfic recordings, custom songs, etc)
Services (beta services or anything else you can do for someone online)
Arts and Crafts (paintings, pottery, knitting, etc)
Food items (anything edible)
Others (everything else)

The auction closes on Wednesday March 7 (1:00 p.m EST).

You are free to to post both offers and bids up untill then.

In case of questions, feel free to leave a comment here or PM me.

Find 'em here

If you have any issues (I forgot a category, you're not sure where to put something, etc), feel free to send me a PM or email me at keenquing AT gmail DOT com.

Any listing may be bid on as soon as it's up, just reply to the comment in question with your name, contact info, and bid.

YOU DO NOT NEED A DREAMWIDTH ACCOUNT TO PARTICIPATE just a name and email address where you can be contacted.

Auction close dates are still up in the air, we'll see how traffic runs/what everyone participating thinks is needed, but probably by the end of the month.

In answer to the first question I've received. If you're listing multiple items in separate 'lots' (i.e. two pairs of gloves but each bid only goes towards one), if they are identical create ONE listing with 'X lots of X pairs/items each'. If the items are significantly different, create a listing for each item.

Q. How the does this work?

A. There will be posts of some kind for general categories of stuff (think: a post for fic, a post for food, a post for crafts, etc). You’ll list what you’re selling in the relevant post with relevant info in comments. Once bidding opens, people will reply to that comment with bids.

Q. What kind of info?

A. This is just a basic template, there might be something different once we get up and running. But basically it’ll look something like:

Name:
Email:
What you're offering:
Price: (i.e., minimum starting bids, how much a ‘buy it now’ option is, etc)
How many: (i.e. 2 lots of a dozen cookies each, three 500 word fics, whatever)
Other: Details like what fandoms you write for, where you’re able to ship, if you can do gluten/allergen/etc free food, anything else that’s relevant.

Q. What the do I do now?

A. The listing period will open on Monday the 16th. Once the listing period ends and bidding begins, people start bidding. If you’ve listed a buy it now, it’ll be first come first serve. Otherwise it’ll be whoever wins. After a winner has been confirmed (a mod will contact the winner before they make their donation to make sure everyone’s clear on the winner), they will email you proof that they have donated to the Jim Collins Foundation (a screen cap and/or forward of their paypal receipt with identifying details blacked out).
